Wabanaki Studies and Climate Education (? space filler title for now)
Saturday May 10, 2025 10:45am - 11:45am PDT
Also tentative: This workshop brings climate education all the way back to its roots–the first stewards of this land. Wabanaki Studies and climate education innately go hand-in-hand. Join MEEA’s Policy and Wabanaki Studies Coordinator, Kaya Lolar (Panawahpskek), along with the Maine DOE’s Wabanaki Studies Specialist, Brianne Lolar (Panawahpskek), to hear more about how understanding traditional ecological knowledge and Wabanaki practices allows us go deeper with our approaches to climate education and justice today.
